The World Manufacturing Convention, or WMC, is an international manufacturing event approved by the State Council of China and the top-level flagship event of Anhui Province. Its permanent venue is Hefei, and the convention opens annually on 20 September.
Since 2018, WMC has been held for eight editions. It has welcomed more than 40,000 guests, attracted participants and business representatives from over 100 countries and regions, and facilitated 5,061 signed projects with total investment of approximately RMB 3.6 trillion. More than 5,000 companies have showcased new products, technologies, and achievements across the manufacturing sector.
The 2026 edition will be held under the theme “Intelligent Manufacturing for a Better Future”. It is expected to invite around domestic and international guests and will feature the opening ceremony and keynote speeches, major project matchmaking, exhibitions of manufacturing achievements, major special activities, convention releases, and online exhibition activities.
