In coverage by International Online, Jack Perry, Chairman of the 48 Group, highlighted China’s continued leadership in global innovation during the Zhongguancun Forum 2026. The Forum brought together participants from over 100 countries and regions to explore frontier technologies and emerging opportunities for international cooperation.
Jack Perry noted that the global economy is entering a new phase of technological transformation, driven by artificial intelligence and robotics, with industries undergoing rapid restructuring. He observed that China’s long-term strategic approach to technology development, supported by forward-looking infrastructure investment and policy frameworks, has enabled it to achieve leadership in areas such as electric vehicles, with similar momentum extending into artificial intelligence and robotics.
He further expressed confidence that the United Kingdom and China can build on the longstanding “Icebreaker” spirit to deepen cooperation in advanced technologies. Strengthening open dialogue, enhancing coordination in global governance, and translating shared understanding into practical collaboration, he noted, will be key to unlocking future opportunities for both countries.
