The 48 Group was pleased to support the AGIBOT UK Launch, held in London on 30 June. Leaders from government, industry, technology, academia and the media gathered for this landmark event to explore the future of embodied artificial intelligence and humanoid robotics.

The event marked AGIBOT’s UK launch, introducing the company’s latest developments in embodied AI and robotics. Throughout the day, attendees experienced live demonstrations featuring more than 30 robots, alongside keynote presentations, partner showcases and discussions on the practical deployment of intelligent robotics across industry and society. AGIBOT also unveiled its latest generation of robotics technologies, including the A3 Lite, making its debut in the UK, Europe and North America, the A2 Ultra humanoid robot for advanced manipulation and interaction, the X2 entertainment and interactive humanoid platform, the G2 industrial robotics platform, the D1 security and inspection robot, and the C5 commercial cleaning robot.

The programme brought together leading voices from across the technology ecosystem. A public panel featuring representatives from Arm, NVIDIA, AWS and Jaguar Land Rover examined the commercialisation of robotics and the future of embodied AI. A dedicated research and development discussion, with participation from the Oxford Robotics Institute and the University of Cambridge, explored the next generation of robotics research and embodied intelligence, highlighting the importance of collaboration between academia and industry.

The event highlighted a broad vision for embodied intelligence, spanning robotics hardware, AI foundation models, data infrastructure, open-source development and application ecosystems. Discussions throughout the day explored opportunities in manufacturing, education, commercial services, research and industrial automation, demonstrating how intelligent machines can support productivity and economic growth across multiple sectors.

The 48 Group has long championed constructive engagement between the United Kingdom and China through business, innovation and people-to-people exchange. Supporting initiatives such as the AGIBOT UK Launch reflects the 48 Group’s continued commitment to fostering dialogue around emerging technologies that will shape the future of industry and society.

As embodied AI continues to evolve, collaboration between researchers, entrepreneurs, policymakers and industry leaders will play an increasingly important role in translating technological advances into practical solutions that benefit businesses, communities and the wider economy.
