On 21 July, The 48 Group welcomed a delegation from Peking University, one of the world’s leading institutions, alongside C-suite executives from leading Chinese robotics and manufacturing companies.
The visit focused on exploring international market opportunities and discussing practical pathways for bringing advanced Chinese robotics technologies into the UK and wider European markets.
The session was opened by Jack Perry, Chairman of The 48 Group and CEO of LEC Robotics.
As the robotics platform established under The 48 Group’s mission, LEC Robotics builds on more than seventy years of the organisation’s history of fostering UK–China commercial cooperation. Since London Export Corporation became the first Western company to trade with the People’s Republic of China in 1952, The 48 Group has played a longstanding role in promoting economic dialogue and business collaboration between the two countries.
Today, LEC Robotics continues that mission by supporting Chinese robotics companies as they expand internationally. Working with manufacturers, technology developers and strategic partners, the company provides expertise in market entry, local commercial operations, regulatory navigation, after-sales service and business development across the UK and Europe.
During the visit, participants exchanged views on topics including commercialisation strategies, localisation, distribution partnerships and the growing demand for intelligent robotics solutions across European markets.
The visit forms part of The 48 Group’s broader commitment to strengthening cooperation between Chinese innovation and international industry, creating new opportunities for collaboration in one of the world’s fastest-growing technology sectors.
