The 48 Group Hosts Shanghai Huangpu District Delegation in London

The 48 Group welcomed Party Secretary Xu Huili of Shanghai Huangpu District and her delegation in London for a productive and engaging breakfast meeting on 9 June.

The delegation was accompanied by senior officials from the Huangpu district, including department of commerce, market supervision and administration bureau, housing administration bureau, investment promotion office, and representatives from Jiyu Fund.

During the discussions, both sides exchanged views on a range of issues of mutual interest, including business cooperation, urban development, AI innovation, and opportunities to deepen economic and commercial ties between London and Shanghai, especially in AI and technology industries. Party Secretary Xu also invited the 48 Group to organise a senior UK business delegation to explore opportunities to find opportunities for commercial growth and success.

Both sides mentioned that this is a time when both China and the UK are seeking new avenues for economic growth, technological innovation, and international partnership. The conversation also highlighted the important role that cities such as Shanghai and London can play in fostering business confidence, cultural exchange, and people-to-people connectivity.
