At the 2026 Zhongguancun Forum Annual Meeting, the 48 Group, represented by Chairman Jack Perry, playedan active role across a series of high-level engagements focused on embodied intelligence and artificial intelligence. Through keynote contributions andpanel discussions, the Group reinforced its commitment to advancing UK–Chinacooperation in emerging technologies, with a clear focus on supportinginnovation-led growth, investment flows, and long-term economic development in the United Kingdom.
Addressing the Embodied Intelligence Frontier Technology and Industrial Development Cooperation Forumand the AI Future Forum: Leap, Investment, Symbiosis, Jack Perryemphasised that artificial intelligence is entering a decisive stage ofindustrial application. Moving beyond research and experimentation, AI is nowbeing integrated into real-world systems at scale. He highlighted that futuregrowth will increasingly depend on how effectively countries can connectinnovation ecosystems, linking capital, technology, and markets across bordersin a coherent and practical manner.
During the Forum’sdedicated AI Sub-Forum on 29 March, Jack Perry engaged directly with leadingChinese investment institutions and technology enterprises, including HongShanand Hillhouse Investment, as well as innovative companies such as Zhipu AI and Shengshu Technology. In these discussions, he outlined the United Kingdom’s strengths in innovation, research excellence, and access in global capital, positioning the UK as a supportive environment for technology companies seeking to scale internationally. He further underscored the importance of fostering collaborative ecosystems that align investment, research, and industrial application in a mutually beneficial manner.
